A substantial portion of GeoKinetics' consulting
activities is in the area of forensic engineering. These activities
typically involve the assessment of the nature and extent of various
types of distress or deficiencies, the identification of the cause
or causes of these problems, and ultimately the development and implementation
of mitigative solutions. GeoKinetics' personnel have extensive experience
in the investigation and assessment of residential foundation and
soils-related problems. These personnel have been responsible for
distress investigations at more than 3,000 homes within the southern
and central California area. GeoKinetics' staff also has a successful
track record of forensic engineering services on a wide variety of
other civil engineering projects involving building distress investigations,
landslide investigations, seismically induced collapse of bridges,
pile driving induced structural distress, traffic vibration induced
structural distress, construction failures and accidents, as well
as contaminant release and migration from service stations, refineries,
plating facilities and other industrial or manufacturing facilities.

GeoKinetics' personnel have extensive experience in the preparation
of presentation, mediation, or trial exhibits utilizing color slides,
oversize boards, and two or three dimensional, static or dynamic
computer graphics. GeoKinetics maintains a state-of-the-art graphics
department with the capability of producing oversize, photo-quality,
digital color graphics.
The principal types of clients associated with our forensic projects
are insurance companies, municipalities, law firms, home owner associations,
and individual businesses or property owners.
