GeoKinetics' personnel take pride in their expertise
in a broad range of field development and utilization of state-of-the-art
instrumentation, electronics, and data acquisition systems. Our instrumentation
capabilities are a direct result of our involvement in (1) construction
monitoring; (2) post construction performance monitoring; (3) forensic
investigations and monitoring; and (4) research and development projects.
We have designed and fabricated a number of specialized geotechnical
data acquisition systems for private consulting firms and government
agencies in California. GeoKinetics' personnel have designed, fabricated,
installed, monitored and, in some cases, marketed systems for:
- Monitoring deformations associated with deep excavations, shoring
systems and earth retaining structures;
- Recording loads on piles, retaining walls, tie-back anchors,
and other structural members;
- Measurement of soil pressures and shear stresses applied to
retaining walls, piles, pipelines and other structures;
- Monitoring groundwater pressures or piezometric levels;
- Recording ground deformation associated with landsliding, slope
creep, lateral fill extension, and other forms of slope instability
- Recording and monitoring vibrations associated with pile driving
operations, roadway traffic, underground tunneling operations,
subway operations, and blasting operations.
We constantly strive to make further improvements in our instrumentation
equipment and monitoring techniques, in order to increase the accuracy
and reliability of the data obtained.
