GeoKinetics personnel have extensive experience
in a wide range of field exploratory methods and techniques for obtaining
high quality soil, rock and/or groundwater samples. This field experience
includes:
- Geophysical methods, such as seismic refraction, seismic
reflection,
downhole and cross-hole seismic surveys, electric logging, dipmeter
logging, active and passive gamma ray logging, ground penetrating
radar
profiling, electromagnetic induction logging, magnetometer and
gravity
surveys, acoustic emission logging, vibration measurement, and
others.
- In-situ tests, such as cone penetration testing, vane shear
testing, pressure
meter profiling, hydraulic fracturing, plate load tests, direct
shear testing,
groundwater and gas extraction/injection testing, and others.
- Soil and rock sampling, including conventional drive or Shelby
tube
sampling, continuous vertical and horizontal rock coring, side-wall
coring,
vibra-coring and other underwater sampling techniques.
- Groundwater and soil gas monitoring and sampling, including
the installation and monitoring of wells, piezometers, hydraugers
and gas probes, the completion of slug tests, both conventional
and packer-isolated pump and recharge tests, dye and isotope
tracer tests, Hydro-punch sampling, pump sampling, soil vapor
surveying, gas sampling, and others.
GeoKinetics personnel has proven expertise in providing state-of-the-art
field exploration services, for both large and small projects, at
both clean and contaminated sites. We maintain a variety of specialized
equipment for soil, groundwater and gas sampling, and our field
personnel are highly trained in the use and maintenance of this
equipment.
